Here at Toyota York, and the wider Vantage family, we are very proud to be patrons of The Prince’s Trust. As part of our commitment to raising money for this worthwhile youth charity we took part this year in their Million Makers scheme.
We selected a team from Toyota York to take part in the ‘Vantage Journey’. This challenge involved our team travelling between 22 dealerships, over 570 miles in one day, with the aim of being the closest of the 20 teams to the time set by the Million Makers team. To raise money our team sold advertising spaces on their ‘budget’ car to companies. At the end of the challenge, the cars used were auctioned off with that money also going to the charity.
Our team, headed up by Steve Butler, had a great day and really threw themselves into the spirit of the day raising a great total for the charity and making some great relationships with our sister sites. Thank you to all those who sponsored our team and got behind the Million Makers or donated at our centre. We are very proud to be able to say that we won the prize for the most amount of money raised.
The regional finals of Million Makers took place in February and we’re proud to report that Vantage won the region and raised a massive thirty thousand pounds! Team Vantage then went on to attend the national finals in London where they were runners-up in the ‘Impact Award’ category, which was down to the amount of buzz created by our teams up and down the country including our team from Toyota York.
